  3. Aubergine – Carmel. Hard to be disappointed at this award-winning Carmel-by-the-Sea landmark.   1. Carmel Beach, Carmel Bay, and Tor House. We’re surrounded by beauty. You know how lovely the drive along Scenic Road and around the tip of Carmel Point is. Add in Tor House as part of your trip, and you are truly indulging in a romantic getaway. Tor House was built by the poet Robinson Jeffers. There are frequent tours. If you have the time, you’ll want to visit the gardens and take in some of Jeffers’ work.
  2. Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. This is California’s ‘crown jewel’. What in nature could so lift your spirits and heart, and let you feel in touch with yourself and that special someone with you? An inspiration for countless poets, artists, photographers, and writers, this is truthfully an amazing trip to make.   3. Lovers Point Park. A natural! Operated by the city of Pacific Grove, this popular park system is accessed on Ocean View Boulevard.
