Best Restaurants in Carmel Valley Village

Whether you are a Monterey Peninsula local looking to explore Carmel Valley, or a visitor spending a weekend at the Carmel Valley Ranch, the Carmel Valley Village can offer everyone three incredible meals a day. We are lucky to live here and experience the best restaurants in Carmel Valley Village, and we wanted to share a few of our favorites.

When considering the best restaurants in Carmel Valley Village, it’s challenging to designate an order because they are all so inviting, delicious, and memorable. One restaurant that is good for just about any occasion is Cafe Rustica. We frequent this restaurant most often due to the versatility of the menu, consistent quality, and fun, casual atmosphere. Open for lunch and dinner, here’s a link to their dinner menu.

Another of our favorites is Roux, a French restaurant named after Chef Fabrice Roux from Laon, France. Roux is open for brunch, lunch and dinner. If you go for brunch, don’t forget to try the beignets – napkins are must! In addition to a delicious variety of entrees, Roux is known to have a great selection of tapas and an enticing wine list.

Fabrice and his wife, Jennifer, are opening another restaurant, Carmel Valley Chophouse! Like Ben said, we can’t wait!

With a strong commitment to preserving the rich history of Carmel Valley, Corkscrew will make you want to bring all your friends back and share stories over a bottle of local wine and fresh cuisine. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and the decor is fascinating. Collections of old corkscrews, early California style furnishings, and thriving gardens are a few key elements that stand out. Here’s a few comments from some of Corkscrew’s raving fans.

We hope you enjoy these restaurants, and we would love to hear some of your favorites in the comments below! Looking for more footage of the Carmel Valley Village? Ben gives us a great walking tour here!
