Welcome to Dawn’s Dream in Carmel-by-the-Sea

Isabel and I went to Dawn’s Dream recently after trying their year over year award winning Rose. We wanted to explore their other offerings, learn more about their background, and get a sense of the tasting room atmosphere. Dawn’s Dream is located on San Carlos and 7th close to Nielsen’s market – a favorite of ours for local goods. We went on a Friday evening and did a full tasting with the help of a great server by the name of Doug. Doug shared with us some of the names of the wines, and they are named after the daughters of the owner, which we thought was very endearing. The wines did not disappoint – they had Chardonnay’s and Pinot Noir’s, which are admittedly the only two wines we buy at the store or order out, so we were thrilled. The selection of pinot’s consisted of fruit forward options as well as more earthy flavors – we gravitate toward fruit. The Chardonnay’s were crisp and delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming and we made socially distant friends with some of the other patrons. We will certainly be returning!
