We recently saw an ad in the Pine Cone for Off Leash K9 Training Central Coast, and had to give it a try after 9 years of struggling with our lovely, but untrained lab Delta. Delta is healthy and thriving in her golden years, so we figured this training program would give her the best chance at reducing her anxiety and being more calm in social settings. Our goal was ultimately to be able to bring her with us to events or fun outings with confidence that she would be comfortable and well behaved.

We were so excited when we spoke to our representative at Off Leash because it was obvious they were going to take great care of her. We opted for the boarding program where one of their highly regarded trainers took Delta in for two weeks. They sent progress videos and photos every day, which made us feel great knowing she was in good hands. The other program was a more hands on approach for the owners where the owners participate in the training, but with our busy schedules we didn’t think this would be the right fit for us. At the end of the two weeks, we picked Delta up and our trainer gave us a walkthrough on all that Delta has learned. It was eye opening to say the least! Delta used to be pretty anxious when approaching other dogs during our walks, and now she’s calm. Taking her with us for a lunch outing used to be a high stress situation, but since her training we have gone on several outings and she’s been great. Here’s Isabel and Delta at a great deli in Carmel Valley called Bear + Flag Roadside. She’s enjoying the sun and even with all of the action during car week, she remained calm, cool, and collected. A huge thank you to Off Leash K9 Training.
