After hearing so many raving reviews about Alta, I had to give it a try. I had a work meeting there, so it was the perfect opportunity to order one of their many seemingly delicious menu items. I was not disappointed!

Alta Bakery

Alta is in downtown Monterey at 502 Munras Street close to Alvarado St. The space is gorgeous and the modern rustic finishes complement the rich history of the Cooper Molera Adobe buildings. For lunch, I ordered their quinoa bowl, a beautiful presentation with sunflower seeds, arugula, avocado, apples, quinoa and an outstanding vinaigrette. I was surprisingly full after, and the ingredients were so fresh! We sat outside in the sun, and admired the new wedding venue. Alta is a beautiful place, and I look forward to the business thriving for years to come. Their coffee is carefully prepared to perfection, and I can’t wait to try their sourdough bread – it looks like nothing you can find in a store!
