There are three properties that are competing for best-of-the-tour today, among the 17 that were on tour in Carmel Valley. Decisions, decisions…
The first property that’s worth a mention is 202 W. Carmel Valley Road at $995,000. It’s like your own personal, albeit smaller, Bernardus Lodge. Very well priced, but it didn’t win my best-of-the-tour.
The second property is an incredible 8-acre Carmel Valley compound at 25 Esquiline ($2,750,000) that also happens to be walking distance to the Village. Who knew it was even there? Not me, and not even the listing agent until recently! The property includes a brand new 2BR/2BA home, a rather large but rustic (old) main house with lots of history, and another guest house that’s also old and in need of work. The potential for this property gets it an honorable mention, but it’s not my the best-of-the-tour.
My best-of-the-tour is an oldie but goodie (above). It’s been off and on the market for the last year or so and is back on again at an even better price. At $5,995,000 5472 Quail Meadows is hard to beat in terms of value. The architecture is stunning. The scale is breathtaking. Almost 11,000 s.f. of improvements, including an almost 9000 s.f. main residence and a pool house to die for. This one, at it’s new price, takes my best-of-the-tour award.
