Pacific Grove truly has it all for residents and visitors alike. Beautiful beaches, a charming downtown, and great shops and restaurants. The town is known for attractions such as Lover’s Point or the monarch butterflies that regularly stop by. The coastline that borders the town is truly remarkable and the Monterey Bay Recreational Trail next to it is great for walking, jogging, and biking. In addition, Pacific Grove is home to the stunning Asilomar State Beach where visitors can surf, walk, or simply just enjoy the beach. The town is also minutes away from Monterey as well as the Monterey Bay Aquarium and famous Cannery Row. It’s beautiful downtown is filled with many delightful shops and great restaurants. Children can also enjoy all the activities as well and there is even a wonderful Museum of Natural History that they would be especially interested in.

It is difficult to create the perfect day spent in Pacific Grove because there are so many sights to see and so many activities to partake in. However, in my opinion the perfect 24 hours in Pacific Grove would look like this. Starting the day off with a lovely breakfast at one of the local cafes. Then heading to the Monterey Bay Recreational Trail and renting out bicycles to bike the paved path along the coastline. After a short lunch, continuing the adventure and heading to Asilomar State Park to go into the water or walk the beach. Then round off the day coming back to Lover’s Point and enjoying the sunset before heading over to grab a delicious dinner in the old town. That is the perfect day but admittedly very stressful. Therefore, I would recommend staying 48 to 72 hours so that you enjoy everything Pacific Grove has to offer.
