Artists, nature-lovers, and residents of all ages come together to create a tight-knit community that celebrates Carmel’s idyllic small-town atmosphere. Outdoorsmen and shoppers alike will find a piece of the area to love; there are plenty of parks and beaches to explore, as well as family-owned and operated stores and restaurants. Art galleries are abundant throughout Carmel-by-the-Sea, and between this and the wine tasting, an afternoon spent here is one to remember. Carmel is a tight knit community, and while we only have one mayor, there is a great unity amongst the residents to preserve the integrity of our little town.

THE LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Just north of Big Sur, Carmel is home to white sand beaches and beautiful tree-lined streets. You will find plenty of shopping on Ocean Avenue and will be charmed by the cottage-style homes. This quiet town is also home to the famous Frank Lloyd Wright House, as well as numerous inspiring art galleries. If you are looking to take a scenic walk or hike, go down Ocean Avenue to the Carmel Beach and enjoy a stroll on the pristine white sand. This is a great beach for dogs to roam around and meet other canine friends. The sunsets are fabulous, and it's an easy walk back to town for dinner at one of the many restaurants to choose from. Wandering the streets of the Golden Rectangle with coffee and puppies while looking at the homes is something locals and visitors both enjoy. Carmel is timeless, full of elegance and charm.
