It’s been about 5 years since we’ve been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We love it every time we go, but life gets busy and time flies when you’re having fun! Here are a few recent shots from our May aquarium visit. We had some family in town who had never seen it, so it was great to watch their reactions to up close interactions with these beautiful sea creatures.

The aquarium is located on Cannery Row. Walking Cannery Row and visiting the shops and restaurants is another great Monterey Peninsula experience if you’ve never been here, so we highly recommend combining the two into a fun-filled outing.

Isabel’s favorite – the jellyfish. There are so many sizes and cadences in which they move. This room is mesmerizing and certainly a highlight of the aquarium.

My favorite is probably the sea turtles. I’m amazed by how long they live and how calm they seem to swim. Hope you enjoy next time you visit the Monterey Peninsula!
