There’s a lot to love about Bayonet and Black Horse, the two 18 hole courses in Seaside. Impeccable condition, great future development, and gorgeous ocean vistas. This write up will be focused on Black Horse Golf Course, we’ll save Bayonet for another sunny day.

Black Horse’s greens are challenging to say the least. I’ve heard from numerous sources that if you want to get really good at golf, play Black Horse Golf Course. One of my favorite holes is 15, a gorgeous par 3 with beautiful views of the Pacific. Another exciting hole is 16 – a straight 292 yard Par 4 from the white tees drivable for big hitters. My favorite part about this course is the weather. The course gets great sunshine, and combined with a nice sea breeze you can easily have a perfect day of golf.

Black Horse Golf Course

This golf course is quite a compound. The practice areas are fantastic with a large putting green, chipping and pitching area, and massive driving range. The course offers regular club fittings from various companies, and the pro’s on staff are great. I’ve enjoyed several lessons. There are a few nice membership options, and with all the development going on around the course, it feels to me like the place to be.

The restaurant and bar adjacent to the pro shop are not to be missed! Excellent menu with indoor and outdoor seating and stunning ocean views. I would go here just to have lunch and not necessarily have to play golf, but both is nice 🙂
