The Carmel River channel is continuing to flow to Monastery Beach as of Saturday afternoon. High wave and beach action may intermittently block the channel as sand relentlessly pushes against the flow. In past years the river has tried to go it’s own direction and a change of course is possible if we experience a Pacific storm with large amounts of rain.
