Living in Carmel-by-the-Sea
When our clients are looking for real estate in Carmel-by-the-Sea, we like to give them a sense of what it’s like to really live there rather than just looking at homes. We prepare Google maps of our favorite places and send to them so that when they visit, they have immediate recommendations on some fun places to experience when they’re not looking at homes. For this week’s blog, we thought we would share what it’s like living in Carmel-by-the-Sea based on some of our favorite local hotspots. In the map below, we also included some of our favorite places in Carmel Valley since they are so close and relevant to the topic.
Carmel-by-the-Sea in the Morning
For many, a day in Carmel-by-the-Sea starts with a walk to town for coffee/breakfast and getting the mail. Some great places for coffee include Carmel Belle, You might be accompanied by a canine companion (maybe multiple canine companions) during your walk. Your dogs will meet other dogs and you might make new friends with someone who lives here or a visitor. While visiting the beach is common any time of day, the mornings are my favorite. The water is usually calm, there’s a cool breeze in the air, and it’s a refreshing way to start the day. Both Carmel River State Beach and Carmel Beach are great.
Carmel-by-the-Sea in the Afternoon
A fun activity in the afternoon might be renting bikes from Mad Dogs and Englishmen.
Or, if you prefer a mellow activity, wine tasting at some of the many tasting rooms in downtown Carmel followed by a nice lunch outside would be a relaxing way to spend your day. Walking off lunch by perusing the many art galleries in Carmel would round out the afternoon nicely.
Carmel-by-the-Sea in the Evening
Dinner and evening activities in Carmel can be tricky with all of the options you have to choose from. We’ve included many great restaurants in the map below, and we encourage you to try them all!
