Giant Waves in Carmel

Earlier in the week, Carmel Beach had some of the biggest waves we’ve seen all year. Ben and Zach went down to the sand to take a video, and Ben explained why Carmel Beach has such fine, white sand. It was nice to see the Coast Guard patrolling and making sure everyone was safe. The surfers were enjoying swells up to 50 feet in some places in Carmel. Looking down toward the Pebble Beach golf course, you could clearly see surfers riding 30 foot waves. Many residents and visitors skirted the beach watching the action.
